III. ( page 4B ) ..........Some examples
A christian can be harassed, tormented, afflicted, and demonized in an area of his or her life and still be a very sincere christian. Demonization can vary from a mild harassment to extreme bondage, where the body and mind become dominated and held in slavery by demons, which is a demonic stronghold.[1]

The hidden action behind the scenes, the driving force of evil at work....

Gen 3 (v. 1) Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field....And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”
She [Eve] was in a strange and unnatural excitement as she sought her husband with her hands filled with the forbidden fruit….She told him she had eaten of the fruit, and instead of her feeling any sense of death, she realized a pleasing, exhilarating influence. As soon as Eve had disobeyed she became a powerful medium through which to occasion the fall of her husband.[2]
Here in this scene, a strange and unnatural excitement motivated Eve to pressure her husband to sin. Could this have been the energizing spirit of the evil one, motivating her to do his bidding?
Gen 3 (v. 9) Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” (v. 11) ....Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?
(verse 12) Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
I saw a sadness come over the countenance of Adam. He appeared afraid and astonished….He told Eve he was quite certain that this was the foe that they had been warned against, and if so, that she must die. She assured him she felt no ill effects but rather a very pleasant influence, and entreated him to eat.[2]
Most people don’t even realize that they are being used by the enemy. This unnatural excitement feels powerful and is attributed to the moving of the Holy Spirit’s power.
And only well after the deed is done, do we realize the fruits of our labors and the damage caused to other people’s lives!!
Gen 3 (v. 22) Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—
(verse 23) therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
Rev 13 (v. 15) He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast would both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
Soon I saw the saints suffering great mental anguish. They seemed to be surrounded by the wicked inhabitants of the earth. Every appearance was against them. Some began to fear that God had at last left them to perish by the hand of the wicked. But if their eyes could have been opened, they would have seen themselves surrounded by angels of God. Next came the multitude of the angry wicked, and....a mass of evil angels, hurrying on the wicked to slay the saints.[3]
Here we have demons working in the lives of human beings, by motivating them to pursue and do harm to another group of people. They just cannot help themselves, but feel compelled to take action, driven and controlled by their emotions.
Do we see behavior like that going on today, in our lifetime? How many unsolved murders are there today?

The spirit I witnessed at each exorcism was clearly, utterly, and totally dedicated to opposing human life and growth. It told both patients to kill themselves. When asked in one exorcism why it was the antichrist, it answered, “Because Christ taught people to love each other.” When further questioned as to why human love was so distasteful, it replied, “I want people to work in business so that there will be war.” Queried more, it simply said to the exorcist, “I want to kill you.” There was absolutely nothing creative or constructive about it; it was purely destructive.[4]
How many people are filled with anger during road rage? Who is stirring up this off-the-scale rage and anger?
Is it the people doing it to themselves or unseen spiritual forces?
Notwithstanding that satan has been constrained to acknowledge God’s justice....his character remains unchanged. The spirit of rebellion, like a mighty torrent, again bursts forth. Filled with frenzy, he determines not to yield the great controversy....He rushes into the midst of his subjects and endeavors to inspire them with his own fury and arouse them to instant battle.... ....The wicked are filled with the same hatred of God that inspires satan....[5]
People being aroused and coerced to anger by a force that cannot be seen....hmmm.... ....Something indeed to think about!!
The number one reason that the enemy can have a legal right to come into your life!!
Matt 5 (v. 23) Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, (v. 24) leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Unforgiveness is the single most popular poison that the enemy uses against God's people, and it is one of the deadliest poisons a person can take spiritually. It causes everything from mental depression, to health problems such as cancer and arthritis.[6]
II Cor 2 (v. 10) Any one whom you forgive, I also forgive. What I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ, (v. 11) to keep satan from gaining the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his designs. [RSV]
Un-forgiveness gives the demonic a legal right to torment you. Un-forgiveness is not a feeling, it is a choice.[6]
Heb 12 (v. 14) Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord; (v. 15) looking diligently lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled.
Other people being used or coerced by demons:
....men of lofty stature and giant intellect, who yielding to the control of fallen angels, devoted all their skill and knowledge to the exaltation of themselves; men whose wonderful works of art led the world to idolize their genius, but whose cruelty and evil inventions, defiling the earth and defacing the image of God....[7]
How these fallen angels or demons can control people, is a science that we may not understand, but the effects of their actions here on the earth are definitely for real.
....I was shown the people of God, and saw them mightily shaken. Some, with strong faith and agonizing cries, were pleading with God. Their countenances were pale, and marked with deep anxiety, expressive of their internal struggle....Evil angels crowded around them, pressing their darkness upon them, to shut out Jesus from their view, that their eyes might be drawn to the darkness that surrounded them, and [that] they distrust God and next murmur against Him. Their only safety was in keeping their eyes directed upward....[8]
How about the people who can’t help themselves to ridicule or make fun of someone, where everybody is laughing at your expense and you are the only one who is humiliated.
And if you say anything about it, the aggressor simply says: “just playing, can’t you take a joke?” while they are enjoying the moment, but you seem to be getting angry and want to fight back against them, which just stirs them on even more. Who is really instigating these occurrences, stirring up the emotions?
This is the way in which satan has worked ever since the disaffection in heaven; and all who try to cause discord and alienation are actuated by his spirit....When the rabbis learned of the presence of Jesus at Matthew’s feast, they seized the opportunity of accusing Him. But they chose to work through the disciples. By arousing their prejudices they hoped to alienate them from their Master. It was their policy to accuse Christ to the disciples, and the disciples to Christ, aiming their arrows where they would be most likely to wound.[9]
It’s not really playing, if you are the only one being put to shame. And this kind of behavior contradicts the bible, in how we should be treating other people.
Phil 2 (v. 3) Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. (v. 4) Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
The world, inspired by satan, will surely oppose the followers of Christ, and seek to destroy their faith; but woe to him who has taken Christ’s name, and yet is found doing this work. Our Lord is put to shame by those who claim to serve Him, but who misrepresent His character; and multitudes are deceived, and led into false paths.[10]
So, when people wrong you, or offend you, or get upset with you. Is it really just the person’s fault, or is there another force working against them?
You see, when people hurt you or attack you, the tendency is to focus the anger, hurt, and pain against the person. However,…you will learn that actually, people are used by demons, as victims and casualties of war, to hurt and victimize you.[11]
This is where we need to be much on forgiveness and less on accusing and judging others.
Rom 2 (v. 1) Therefore you are inexcusable....whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
Anybody born after the fall of Adam, no matter who they are, has some type of weakness in their flesh that the devil is able to exploit them and use them against other people at some point in their life.
This allows you to have forgiveness and compassion on those who hurt, abuse, and attack you. If you have unforgiveness toward anyone, you are not struggling with the one you should be: the demons![11]
And this generally happens to everybody, whether before or after their baptism to Christ, it doesn’t seem to matter; they still feel the pain of guilt & remorse, and deserve to be hugged and forgiven.
And so, the people in the church have only consternation & hate towards the christian who is beguiled and falls, we love to execute our own judgment and kick them out of the sanctuary; making it official as we remove their name off the church books.
Is there demons working today in the lives of people, whether in the church, or your workplace, or at school, or at home, and is it your duty as a christian to do something about it? You be the judge!!
For my bible says, in “The Great Commission,” by the Lord Jesus Christ:
Mark 16 (v. 15) ....Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. (v. 16) He who believes and is baptized will be saved....
Then in (v. 17) And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons....they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. (v. 20) And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.
Tell me, which “signs” are they talking about? And which part of “The Great Commission” are we to leave out?
This should be a “wake-up” call to those who have fallen asleep and don’t realize what is going on behind the scenes, in the spiritual world.
My prayer is that you investigate this matter for yourself and find out just what the whole duty of a christian should be.
