The Study Format

In order to counteract the power of the gospel in the lives of believers, satan has prepared two counterfeits.  Both, to some degree, resemble the gospel but in actual fact, they are the enemies of the gospel.  They are the greatest danger to the gospel and it is satan’s purpose to get christians to fall into one of these two counterfeits.  He will try everything to cause us to fall into those ditches.[1]

The format for this study, will be to look at the position that each gospel has on several different topics; followed by some interesting scripture verses and bible commentary.

Below are the topics of interest for our comparison:

1) How they each view sin!

2) Sinning....is it by birth or by choice?

3) Who are the wicked people?

4) Who are the good people?

5) Who are the overcomers?

6) The reason of our sinning!

7) When does the “sin” problem affect you?

8) Their view on the judgment!

9) Salvation is obtained by....

10) What our focus should be on!

11) What happens if you do sin after you know better?

12) Having a knowledge of your salvation!

You will notice as you read each gospel, there will be elements of truth in each one, showing you just how effective a counterfeit can be, making it very difficult to choose the true gospel.

The comparison of the three gospels will be put in a table chart and organized as follows:

The question or topic:

(on Top side) yellow

Gospel #1

(on Left side) blue

Gospel #2

(in the Middle) orange

Gospel #3

(on Right side) green

Then after the comparisons of the 3 gospels, for each topic, there will be on (page 7 of 7) a short conclusion about what each gospel represents, helping you to stand firm on the true gospel.

On the following webpages, we will discuss topics “1 through 5” from the above list on (page 4 of 7).  Next continuing with the discussions over “topics 6 through 9” on (page 5 of 7).  Then finishing up with the last few topics “10 through 12” from the list on (page 6 of 7).
